OUr Community Priorities
Our vision is a community united to create opportunities for all.
Through three interconnected Community Priorities — giving all children a strong start, supporting education and academic success and creating economic opportunity for all — we make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with greatest need in our community.
Three Community Priorities
Giving All Children A Strong Start in Life
Supporting Education and Academic Success
Creating Economic Opportunity for All
OUR STORIES

National Volunteer Week 2025 brings volunteers together from across Metro Denver to support Mile High United Way’s programs. Meet a few of our volunteers who dedicate their time to our community during this week and year-round.
By Ashley Monroe, 211 Community Resource Navigator | Ashley connects Coloradans to basic needs resources through our 211 Help Center.
D’borah, a former foster youth, now advocates for others. She recently joined us at the Colorado State Capitol in support of SB25-150, a bill to establish a pilot program for youth in foster care. We invite you to read or listen to D’borah’s powerful testimony.
By Faye Wooden, AmeriCorps NCCC Team Leader. “Each client who comes to Tax Help Colorado has a story. I have the privilege of hearing these stories while preparing a client’s tax return.”
Tax Help Colorado provides free tax assistance to qualifying individuals and families. The 2025 tax season was a record-breaking year with 11,058 tax returns prepared. Read more about our impact.
