United For Business
Program Mission
Provide support for women- and minority-owned small businesses to strengthen under-resourced communities and help our small business community thrive.
Need Small Business Support?
Get no-cost, personalized consulting to help your small businesses stabilize and grow.
How The Program Works
We work collaboratively with small business owners to first understand their needs. Participants are then connected with skilled Mile High United Way volunteers that provide personalized and no-cost consulting in areas of accounting, marketing, legal support, and other business-critical functions to help owners reach their growth potential.

We provide one-on-one business consulting services to local businesses and startups at no cost to them.
We support capacity building and empower small businesses owners to achieve growth through an intensive skills-building program.
We develop pathways to capital, business networks, and skill development opportunities.
Mile High United Way volunteers help business owners in areas of accounting, marketing, legal support, and other business-critical functions.

WHY SUPPORTING SMALL BUSINESS MATTERS
- Income inequality can be addressed by accessing quality, well-paying jobs as entrepreneurship is one of the best ways to build assets and wealth.
- From 2000 to 2017, small businesses accounted for nearly 65% of new job creation, generating nearly twice as many jobs as larger companies and corporations.
- When our local businesses thrive, entire neighborhoods also thrive.
