How The Program Works
Tax Help Colorado helps thousands of individuals and families get the refund they are owed by providing quality, free tax assistance.
Tax Help Colorado is an IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program that helps thousands of families access quality, free tax assistance each year.
We partner with community colleges, nonprofits, and central service providers to connect low- and moderate-income families and individuals to free high-quality tax preparation.
Regardless of previous experience, volunteers can develop tax preparation skills, get hands-on experience, and better understand the tax system and its role in social justice and economic opportunity in order to help our community.
Why FREE TAX ASSISTANCE MATTERS
Tax preparation can be a confusing and expensive process for many individuals and families. Tax Help Colorado removes the challenges and financial burden by offering quality, free tax assistance each year thanks to a growing network of dedicated partners and volunteers. We know this is more than just a tax return, it’s a refund that can help families build a better future.
