Partnering with the Village Exchange Center to Create Career Pathways for Our Community
AURORA, CO – Mile High United Way, in partnership with the Village Exchange Center, is pleased to host its second Job & Resource Fair on Friday, January 27, from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Employers from a wide range of industries – including retail, shipping and ground transportation, hospitality and nonprofit – will have the opportunity to meet, interview and even hire candidates on the spot.
Several workforce development resource providers will also be on-site to introduce job seekers to valuable upskilling and reskilling programs and opportunities through higher education. This includes Denver Workforce Services, Emily Griffith Technical College, Aurora Community Connection, TechNation and Aurora Office of International and Immigrant Affairs.
This event highlights Mile High United Way’s commitment to workforce development and strengthening pathways to quality employment for job seekers across Metro Denver. In June, Mile High United Way held its first job and resource fair, where 12 attendees received job offers.
“Financial stability and quality employment can be the key to a family’s well-being. That’s why Mile High United Way is developing innovative ways to connect members of our community with fulfilling, good paying jobs and resources for upskilling, said Vanecia Kerr, chief impact officer at Mile High United Way. “Partnering with the Village Exchange Center helps us reach people in the community who often are most in need of this support.”
