The Champion of Hope Award is the highest tribute for corporate community involvement for workplace giving campaigns. PCL Construction demonstrated incredible support for Mile High United Way’s work with an outstanding community giving campaign, ongoing support for the Tocqueville Society and Women United and an annual golf tournament which directly benefits families in our community. Their leadership has demonstrated incredible commitment to Mile High United Way and the support for building a stronger Metro Denver.

The Spirit of Hope Award recognizes corporate community involvement for a new or refreshed partnership. Last year, PlanOmatic ran an outstanding giving campaign and demonstrated a comprehensive and tangible commitment to our Bridging the Gap program. PlanOmatic staff volunteered with Bridging the Gap and assembled Thanksgiving baskets for participants.

The Partner in Service Award honors outstanding achievement in activating a workforce to create hands-on impact in our community. This award celebrates days of service, ongoing volunteer engagement throughout the year or new volunteer projects that align with company goals. KeyBank reached new levels of engagement, volunteering with our Tax Help Colorado program and sponsoring Super Refund Saturday during tax season. Staff also joined other Mile High United Way events and made basic needs kits to support families.

The Social Impact Award recognizes a corporate partner that has embraced corporate social responsibility as part of its community engagement and business strategies. SM Energy engages with Mile High United Way year-round, sponsoring the Women United Luncheon, volunteering at the Children’s Holiday Party and Back to School Bash, and engaging with our community programs, including Bridging the Gap and United for Families.

The Brian Smith Award for Outstanding Community Leadership celebrates an individual who embodies the spirit of philanthropy by volunteering, supporting giving and community efforts, and going above and beyond to affect positive change. Andrea Miller of Delta Dental of Colorado serves as Director of Environmental, Social and Governance for Delta Dental. Andrea supports Mile High United Way by volunteering, serving as Chair of our Corporate Engagement Committee, serving on our Resource Development Council and helping us collaborate with other organizations in our community.
