Child Care Resource & Referrals (CCR&R) specialists help families by providing referrals to child care, financial assistance information, and education about the quality and availability of care. Working within their communities, CCR&Rs identify early care and education needs, and focus on enhancing the quality and availability of services through recruiting, training, and supporting child care providers.

Selecting the right child care option will help stimulate their growth and put them on a path of success. Colorado Shines Childcare Referral at Mile High United Way provides families with local referrals to licensed child care providers, and consumer education on how to select quality child care. We provide a list of referrals to licensed child care providers in the area of the family’s request and consumer education about how to recognize and select quality care to meet your child’s individual needs. Our team of Child Care Navigators can assist you in English and Spanish, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. via telephone, email, and live chat.
Colorado Shines Child Care Referral at Mile High United Way does not recommend or endorse the facility listings contained within the online database. Parents are strongly encouraged to visit each child care facility under consideration, request references from other parents, and carefully review the provider license and the most recent report of inspection. We are available to assist you Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
