Keeping Families in Their Homes

For many families in our community, rising housing costs can make it difficult to find or maintain safe, stable housing. In fact, from 2015 to 2025, the hours of work needed to afford a mortgage at the average wage in Metro Denver rose 94%, from 50 to 97 hours per month.* For people already struggling to make ends meet, a missed paycheck, unexpected bill or sudden rent increase can quickly become a housing crisis.

We work to make sure no one has to face a housing crisis alone. In partnership with the Denver Housing Authority, The GreenLight Fund and HomeStart, we provide tenants facing eviction or homelessness with personalized case management to help them set and work toward their goals. As participants meet their goals, they can receive rental assistance to help pay past-due rent. By helping families avoid eviction and remain in their homes, Renew Collaborative prevents displacement and creates space for families to build a stronger financial future.

Why it Works
  • Participants receive one year of personalized case management to help them set goals and work toward greater stability. As they meet their goals, they can receive up to $1,500 in rental assistance to help pay past-due rent.

  • Personalized case management helps address the challenges that led to housing instability. By working toward those goals, families can build greater financial stability and reduce the risk of facing the same challenges again.
