The Website Build Initiative from United for Business and GeekPack helps small business owners create professional, mobile-friendly websites that reflect their brands and support long-term growth. Whether you’re just getting started, returning to build on past progress or looking for flexible, virtual support, this program is for you.

What to expect:

  • Live, virtual instructor-led sessions (Tuesday and Thursday, Noon-12:45 p.m.)
  • Class recordings available for flexible access
  • Plug-and-play branding kits, templates and content
  • Self-paced curriculum
  • Personalized support from GeekPack staff
  • Virtual peer support and connection
  • Self-assessments and reflective activities for guided growth
  • WordPress site instruction provided; business websites built on other platforms welcome to apply also

Program Overview:

Participants will receive hands-on instruction and guided support to confidently build and manage their online presence throughout the program.

  • Week 1: Plan Your Online Presence – Establish your goals and audience, the create a content plan. 
  • Week 2: Start Building the Website – Construct key website sections and brand your business. 
  • Week 3: Build It Out and Improve User Experience – Boost usability with effective messaging
  • Week 4: Establish Your Presence (SEO and Social Basics) – Help customers find your business with foundational Search Engine Optimization and effective social media practices.
  • Week 5: Stay Connected – Set up easy contact methods and start meaningful conversations with your customers.
  • Week 6: Polish, Publish and Promote – Confidently launch your site and plan next steps for sustained online growth. 

You’ll finish with a fully functional website, the skills to manage it and a clearer understanding of how your digital presence aligns with your business goals.
