Mile High United Way Announces Eight New Board Trustees

New Board Officers Also Appointed

DENVER – Mile High United Way is thrilled to announce eight business and community leaders have been appointed to the Board of Trustees to lead the organization in its 138th year.

“I am so pleased to welcome these outstanding community leaders to the Board of Trustees,” said Christine Benero, Mile High United Way president and CEO. “Each of them is passionate about creating positive change for the families we serve in the Metro Denver region. I look forward to the many ways their unique experiences and professional expertise will strengthen our mission.”

The Board of Trustees is responsible for stewarding Mile High United Way’s financial and programmatic goals to advance the organization’s three community priorities: Giving all children a strong start, supporting education and academic success and creating economic opportunity for Metro Denver families.

The new Trustees are:

  • Dr. Angelic Cole, Colorado Black Chamber of Commerce
  • Tami Door, Life Properties
  • Robert Kenney, Xcel Energy
  • Justin Looney, Ernst & Young LLP
  • Brad McQueen, Plante Moran
  • Matthew Mendell, NVIDIA
  • Chris Musso, McKinsey & Company
  • Heather White, Vectra Bank

 

Ethan Rojhani, of Grant Thornton LLP, and community leader Kathy Ambrose also were appointed as board treasurer and secretary, respectively. They join current officers, Chair Neil Oberfeld, from Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and Vice Chair Diane Garcia, from Congruex.

In addition to the new Trustees, three members were named a Trustee Emeritus:

  • Deron Brown, PCL Construction
  • Catherine Hance, Peregrine Hospitality
  • Kevin Neher, KSL Capital
